  • Is it also possible to walk from south to north?
    Yes. The trail is way marked in both ways and our service is available in both directions.
  • Can I book my Luggage Transfers even if I haven’t booked my accommodations?
    Yes. Even if you haven’t booked all your accommodations, you already know the trail sections you’re are going to hike. While booking online, simply choose the option ‘No Booking’ on the villages where you still don’t know where you’ll be staying. As soon as you know the missing accommodations on your itinerary, let us know via e-mail or WhatsApp.
  • I’m staying more than a night at one or more villages along the path. Can I still use your service?
    Yes. Use the comments section you'll find just before submitting your request to inform us about the village(s) where you stay more than a night.
  • Do I need to deliver my luggage personally? Does it really needs to be ready from 9am?
    • Luggage must be ready from 9:00 am and will be delivered till 4:30 pm. • Always leave your luggage in a central location on your accommodation, like the lobby, reception or luggage room. • You don’t need to be present for the pick-up and delivery and can start the hike before we arrive! • We’ll label your luggage on the first transfer. DO NOT remove the label until the end of the hike. We need it to make sure your luggage is delivered on the right place.
  • How will you know what is my luggage on the first day?
    We’ll label your luggage and handle all logistic details together with your hosts. Just help us by identifying your luggage with a post it or a piece of paper with your name on the first pick up.
  • Is there a weight limit per luggage piece?
    Yes. The maximum weight per luggage piece is 18 kg. Luggage rules: • Each luggage item must not exceed 18 kg. • 1 luggage item per person (and not 1 luggage item for 2 or more people) • Food items are not permitted (water bottles, beverages, fruits, any kind of food, dry or fresh). • Backpacks must have their straps loose. • Luggage items must be standalone items and cannot be stuffed together on carry bags.
  • I’m staying at Airbnb’s and “Alojamento Local” that do not have staff or a reception. Can I still use your service?
    Yes. We deliver in every (almost - 99%) single existing accommodations in the region until Sagres. If your accommodation is not our drop down listings, choose the correct town and the option 'Other'. Then please use the comments section you'll find just before submitting your request to provide the contact number of your host.
  • Is the service limited to a specific list of accommodations in the South, from Salema to Lagos?
    Due to continuous problems offering our service in the southern portion of the route - from Salema to Lagos - we’ve restricted the number of accommodations in which we offer the service. Please have in mind that due to the nature of our Luggage Transfer service we can only deliver and pick luggage from accommodations with reception or in case there is no reception, when hosts offer access to the premises either by a key, a key box or similar solution. If we can only deliver and pick luggage at the time of check-in and check-out in the presence of the client, surely our service becomes inviable, as we cross the entire region from Santiago do Cacém to Lagos everyday being subject to all sorts of unexpected events and uncertainty. We’re are sure you can understand.   • I’ll arrive in the morning by bus/transfer to the starting point of my hike and do not have a hotel. Can I still use your service?
    Yes. We can sort out almost all situations and will work on a solution for your request. Write us an e-mail and let us know about your plans.
  • I’ll finish my hike and get a bus/transfer and do not have a hotel. Can I still use your service?
    Yes. We can sort out almost all situations and will work on a solution for your request. Write us an e-mail and let us know about your plans.
  • Can you transfer my luggage directly to the end of my hike and not day by day?
    Yes. For direct transfers (including 3 or more route sections) we offer a special rate of 10€ per section. You must have an accommodation booked, as we do not store your luggage and need a place to deliver it. Write us an e-mail and let us know about your plans. Luggage transfers covering 2 route sections, cost is double For direct transfers (including 3 or more route sections) there is a special rate of 10€ per route section, including up to 2 luggage pieces. Each additional luggage piece is 5€ per route section.
  • Can you store my luggage?
    No. We do not offer luggage storage while you are on the trail. Contact your accommodations.
  • I’m cycling the route, can I still use your service? How does it work for cyclists?"
    Yes. Write us an e-mail and share with us your itinerary. Bikers normally cover a longer distance than hikers, so we’ll have to quote your request on demand.
